As anybody who has a lawn can tell you, there is a very ridgid formula you have to follow to grow weeds in your yard. It consists of only one step: do nothing. Follow this, and your yard will be overrun by weeds in no time. In Jesus' parable of the four soils, he talks about the seed that fell among the weeds, which choke out any fruit. If you want your life to matter, you've got to remove the weeds - the worries of the world and the pursuit of riches.
