We've been going through the book of Acts since September 2006, one chapter, one story, at a time. This week the story continues from Acts 12:1-17, where Peter was rescued from prison by an angel. In the next part of the story, King Herod, exalting himself as a god and receiving the worship of the people of Tyre and Sidon, is struck by an angel of the Lord and dies. With the current shaking and uprooting going on in the charismatic church, this is an important reminder to all of us to stay humble and give God the glory.
