Entering chapter 7 of Acts, in an ongoing study of the book which has been called the training manual for Christians. Stephen, just recently selected as one of the first church deacons, was moving in such power and authority that the Jewish priests rose up to kill him. He became the first of many Christian martyrs, but his death was also the launching point of Christianity beyond Israel.
